“What is the best way to sell my house online?” It’s one of the most common questions we get here at FSBOhowto. Lets review the two most popular sites that will help you to sell your house online.
In order to sell your house in a reasonable amount of time, you’ll need to get your listing in front of the eyes of prospective buyers. A yard sign is important, but if you want to sell your house quickly, you’ll need to have your home listed online.
Most importantly, you’ll want to be listed in your local MLS (Multiple Listing Service). That’s where the buyers are. If a site doesn’t offer a MLS listing with their package, move on.

ForSaleByOwner.com is widely agreed upon as the
cream of the
crop when it comes to selling your home online, and it's hard to find
much to contradict that assertion.
I've only used them once, but my house sold in about 6 weeks, and their support was always quick and helpful (I like to ask questions...).
In the FSBO process there will be times when you'll need professional assistance, whether it be with staging your house to sell or finding a real estate lawyer to help with closing the sale.
ForSaleByOwner.com's "Find a Pro" feature puts you
in touch
with the right people at the right time.
The only downside to their service is the price. If you want to get listed on the MLS, you'll be shelling out about $600 for the privilege.
That's definitely a chunk of change. But, if I want to sell my house online in a reasonable amount of time, i'll go with them nine times out of ten.
Also, they have a money back guarantee. So, if your house doesn't sell, you get a refund. That certainly helps take the edge off.

Owners.com
is my second choice when it comes to FSBO websites.
Their network of syndication isn't quite as expansive as
ForSaleByOwner.com, but if you're mainly after the
MLS listing, it's a
good deal cheaper here.
One of the advantages to Owners.com is their library of real estate documents. This is really helpful in getting started with the legal aspects of selling your own house.
Another valuable feature is their professional agent assistance program. It's more expensive, but could be worth the price if you're new to the For Sale By Owner process.
For an extra fee a professional agent will help you with review your paperwork and contracts, help you price your home appropriately, and answer any other questions that might come up.
Now, I've never used this service, so I can't vouch for it's value. If you think you might be interested in trying it out, I would contact their support before hand to figure out the extent of the help you'll be receiving. My gut instinct is that it's probably worth the price for first time FSBO sellers.
There are many other FSBO websites out there that will help you to sell your house online. However, these two are the largest and most trusted. Most importantly, if used right, they get the job done.
